Our Mission
Do you really KNOW Columbus? Chances are, you are familiar with his story but, like many people, you might have been fed false information about the famed explorer. The National Columbus Education Foundation (NCEF) is here to spread the truth about Columbus via public education, advocacy efforts, and more, all with the overall goal of preserving Columbus Day and other recognitions honoring Columbus’ contribution to world history.

About the National Columbus Education Foundation
The National Columbus Education Foundation was formed in 2020 by the following organizations to conduct and distribute research, studies and analysis relating to Christopher Columbus:
- Columbus Citizens Foundation
- Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA)
- National Italian American Foundation (NIAF)
- Order Sons and Daughters of Italy (OSDIA)
- UNICO National

Help tell the true story of Christopher Columbus by sharing the handouts in our toolkit. These handouts can be printed out and given to elected officials, educators, civic leaders, or friends as a way to educate them about the common misconceptions surrounding Columbus. Our toolkit also provides sample petitions and letter templates for you to launch your own local pro-Columbus efforts!
